Today we’re rolling out a major update to driver ratings:
🕒 Inactivity Penalties
From now on, if a driver hasn’t competed in a while, their rating will gradually decrease over time:
- No penalty for the first year of inactivity
- After that, points begin to drop - up to 100 points per year depending on how long they’ve been inactive
- As soon as they compete again, their rating picks up from the reduced value.
“Making changes mid season??” Hell yeah we are - but this one’s a no-brainer. It has zero impact on the 2025 standings, since every driver in the season has competed within the last year anyway. So no one’s being penalised retroactively.
No surprises. No unfair hits. Just a cleaner, fairer system from here on out. ✌️
